Way back when, when we’d been married for less than a year, Linda bought be a MTH Trolley set, New York City Transit 6688. Well, while running it on the Xmas layout the reverse bumper on one side broke (it was plastic). As I know next to nothing about MTH parts, can anyone point me in the right direction for a replacement part for this?
Why don’t you give MTH a call, they should have the part, or at the very least be able to steer you in the right direction for the part.

I am really surprised that this part broke… Did the plastic just crack?
Joe
Yep. It broke where the plastic made a right angle - kind of surprising that it would be so flimsy.
Call MTH? Whadda I do, look Mike up in the Yellow Pages?

The part # you need is FF3200008 Reverse Mechanisan Arm short. I have replaced many of these. MTH modified the frame on the newer trolley and they still break. When using, try to run at about five volts.
The damnable thing is that I haven’t used it extensively, and I dragged it out for my 4yo Tyler 'cause something else stopped working on my Xmas layout. AND I keep it going fairly slow so it doesn’t bang the bumpers hard.
