I live in Calgary, Alberta across from the Canadian Pacific Railway main line. Every so often I see Canadian Pacific engine #1125. It is about 80 to 90% of the size of the GPs it is working with. It has no markings on it as to start what type of engine it is or horsepower involved.
Does anyone know about the engine I saw? Just curious on what it is as I haven’t seen another 1100 series before or since.
1125 is a Control Cab Daughter, a slug with an operating cab. It was former GP35 5012. 1126 is out in Vancouver (Coquitlam) while 1127 and 1128 are in Winnipeg.
Out in Toronto CP has this thing.

This is a Hump Controller, a radio equiped unit that can control SD40-2s. It was Soo fuel tender 4003 and before that CMSP&P GP9 946.
Now that is one funky lookin slug.
