Nevada V&T tourist railroad and $2 million stimulus?

According to CNN, critics of the federal stimulus are criticizing the $2 million to the V&T tourist railroad and calling it waste. Nevada locals and persons affiliated with the V&T are saying that the money helps provide local jobs and such. I don’t know what the V&T are using the stimulus money for? Maybe they’re using it for rehabbing tracks, locos or rolling stock.

The big project for the V&T is extension of track (on the original roadbed) closer to downtown Carson City.

Critics of the Federal stimulus program call all of it waste, so noting one line item of the package is hardly news. What do they call the use of Federal bank stimulus money to pay obscene bonuses to the very people who ground the financial system to hamburger? IIRC, that was something like 90 times the V&T subsidy.
