Never mind the feed sacks...pallets???

The other thread solves the sack problem… how about LOTS of pallets?
Whose pallets are the best looking / closest to right size?

Then there’s the question of pallet trucks… for the 80s…

all in H0 please.

Has anyone come up with a good and quick way of making pallets from strip wood?

Thanks in Advance [:D]

If you look in the Walthers catalog, there are a ton of companies that make pallets. Micro Engineering, AM Models, Scale Scenics and Preiser are a few that offer plastic ones. BTS and SS Ltd are among the ones that have cast metal ones.

If you want stacks of them, the plastic ones to me seem to be the way to go.

The metal ones seem more suited to close up detail scenes.

I’ve been happy with the ones from Micro Engineering and AM Models, but the ones from AM Models seem slightly larger than the ones from ME. I don’t know about the other ones, but the Presier ones look nice.

Either way, the cost is so low, that I can’t imagine spending the time to make my own when you can get about 12 of them for $2-3 retail. I think Preiser offers 60 for $12.98 list.

I just bought a box of 60 pallets by Presier (sp) for like 7 bucks maybe. These are real nice and all ready assembled (they are one piece). I also got a couple of sets of pallets and hand trucks also by Presier that you have to assemble (a real pain). I just went to the walthers site and searched for pallets.
