I was just on the famious e*** site and seen some new models or what seemed to be new?
One was a 1953 pink Caddy and the other was a Landrover. Has anyone caught these at their Wally World yet? I know being stuck in the middle of CornBallville( Indiana). We get this kind of stuff like 2 years later than the rest of the States doo! Thanks Kevin
I haven’t seen those but I did snag a couple of '57 Corvettes. There were also some other models that were too new for my era.
I found it interesting in that when Malibu first started releasing these, the experts told us the originals (VW bug, van, and Karmen Ghia, Camaros, etc.) were the only ones Malibu would release.

I’ve been checking Wallyworld on a regular basis and haven’t seen the LandRovers which I will need but, I’ve been able to get the Fresh Cherries releases

I just picked up the 53 Caddy at my LHS - I got blue like the one in “24 Hours”, but they had pink also. These are Model Power, but they 'gotta be made in the same factory! At Wally today, got a 55 Chev towing a 2 wheel camper & a “new” Posche(?) mini van towing the same trailer - $1.97 ea. Also got a few NASCAR models - 20 Stewart/HD, 9 Earnhards Jr, & 48 Lowes (Grandson likes color - I work at HD, but anything for the grandson) for $2.97 ea (royalties!)[8D]
Haven’t seen them in store yet.

The Corvette was a model that was in production when Model Power and High Speed had their first falling out. Though it was originally supposed to be a Model Power “Exclusive” it was decided the Corvette would be released would be available to all High Speed’s customers, including Malibu.
Since High Speed has historically had a little problem honoring its contracts, it’s possible the Eldorado or other Model Power Exclusives might appear at Wal-Mart. However, it should be emphasized that every Malibu model was developed on somebody else’s nickel. As High Speed loses customers who will foot that development, it will be interesting to see if Malibu gets any more new models.

Last night at Wally i was able to pickup two different models of land rovers, about 3-4 different types of porsches (boxster, carrera, etc) a pink caddy convertible, and new modern Jaguar. The land rovers are my favorite so far, only problem is it looks like they are only offered in one color for each one. Over all nice cars for 2 bucks.
Yep, They’re here in Southern California. My wife actually picked me up the two Land Rovers and a '37 VW Bug. I didn’t want the Caddy but she did say that it was there. The Land Rovers look great. I just hope that they start coming out with some trucks and more SUVs.
