I’ve always found the AI (Artificial Intelligence) interface on the new 5 DCC system to be a bit flaky. Mine keeps intermittently forgetting settings. I was wondering if anyone knew if there might be an upgrade available for download somewhere?

Unfortunately there is a degradation file built into the system that renders it virtually useless for many things after a century or so of use and there is no known patch for it. Fortunately, if you interface with one of the peripheral units that are available (a wife), the system is expandable (kids). The new units come with an extended warrenty on parts and labor. The problem with the warrenty is that it’s non-refundable and non-transferable and malfunctions sometimes can only be corrected after a lifetime of use.
