New 65' Heavyweight coaches from Con-Cor

I only recently became aware of the new Heavyweight coaches that Con-Cor will be releasing this December.

I quickly pre-ordered a couple of sets of these cars in each of the series that the four cars that will be produced.

Cars look to have excellent detail, will have interior and lighting standard. If they are as good as or anything like the Osgood-Bradley they recently released I certainly will be happy.

Anyone else pre-order or are waiting for these coaches?

Nice looking cars, my first thought was they are a little “pricey” but I guess they aren’t that bad considering where the Walthers cars are going and getting them from M.B. Klein, Trainworld, or someone like that will help as well. I suppose I’ll probably have to have a few of them. The “good” side is a person is not forced to take uneeded cars as the Rivarossi sets were offered, just what is needed, and…there is certainly a need for some decent 65 foot standard passenger cars like this. They’ll look great behind my L&A 4-6-0’s…

You are so right. These cars would look fantastic behind a 4-6-0.

Now, if they only had pantographs…

Not being a passenger car person $60.00 sound steep to me. I would rather wait and look at them at my LHS, and see if the prices would be lower.

I have 10 Con Cor Shorty Santa Fee cars that need a lot of work to track right, and I do like them and was worth the effort. But, I only payed $165.00 for all 10 and that covers the cost of couplers, weights and wheel sets for a few that needed them.

I love the idea! The price may be steep for me, though, like Ken I may wait to see if they show up LHS.Although their “no charge no obligation preoder” system sounds good from teh video!

I will promptly check with wholesaletrains.com.

I have 65’ {concor ? cheapys} which WILL run on my 18r curves though the overhang is obvious.

But it would sure beat using only the “old tyme” 40’ passenger cars I have for a more modern world when I decide to run passenger.

Thanks for the Info! [8-|]
