I hadn’t been to the Amtrak website for awhile and wanted to take a look around and see what had changed. And it was a lot! I don’t know how long it’s been changed, but I found it much better. Everything is very easy to find now and has some interesting ways of checking train schedules, fares and status. Thought I’d pass the word for anyone that hasn’t seen it yet.
I’ll second Blue Ridge Front and say that I went to the site, and surfing and route/ticket is a lot easier to play around with, to find what fits. I don’t work for Amtrak, by the way.
For a promo for their new site, they offered a coupon code for 10% off fares if you were registered on the old site. I thought that was nice of them (and pretty convienent for me because I almost bought tickets the day before the site changed).
