Interesting article on the origins of new tourist line. Originally intended as a trial operation, my understanding is that it has recently been made a permanent organization…See link below

Uh this is not a toy train forum. Did you have the right links?
The excursion train is basically planned as the winter operation of the equipment used out of Alamosa, Colorado. The Arizona Eastern and the San Luis & Rio Grande are owned by the same company. Right now, the plans are to use the full dome, a coach, and a lounge/obs car to run trips from Globe to the Indian casino about 45 minutes to the south. They are also planning on using a Heisler steamer for some of the short runs. The casino is somewhat of a partner in the operation, and if it is successful, it will likely go full time, but probably avoid the heat of mid summer.
I have chartered the train for a series of trips in April that will cover the entire railroad, both the Globe Branch and the Clifton Branch. The event is listed on the Trains events listing, or details can be found at www.southernappalachia.railway.museum in the special excursions section. A few seats are still available for the charters.
