All-
I purchased an Atlas D9-40C engine a number of months ago and finally got around to upgrading the QSI chip. I pulled the stock chip and replaced it with the upgraded chip. When I went to program the chip, QSI programmer didn’t recognize that an engine was on the track - nor did the layout or decoderPro. I put the original chip back in and similar results so it looks like something happened to the board. All contacts are solid, firm. I “played” with the board and was able to get the QSI programmer to recognize the chip so I upgraded the sound file and useed DecoderPro to change the address. Whats interesting is when I put the train on my layout, it shows intermittant shorts and will not hold the address - engine stated “MAX” numerous times and “RESET.” figuring there is a short somewhere I wrote an email to QSI to see if they would send me a replacement Quantum board…
What I am wondering is are the new Atlas or BLI with sound releases shipping with Revolution boards or Quantum boards?
