Hi Nice to see Backmann are at last comming into the 21st centurey, such a shame that Bachmann does not do a system for R/C or DCC IE receiver and on board bits. A lot of companies in UK will not chip Bachmann stuff and if they do its an arm and leg job[:)]
Rene, That should be fun to see, there has been a few grumbles on the other sites about these, mostly about the lack of detail or piston rods but pah! These are most definelty aimed at kids as a primary audience, and not grisled old model railroaders, that they are more Playmobil and less Accucraft should be a given. The fact that I find them very interesting is two fold:
1: They are small, actually they are VERY small, and for me and my space constraints they are highly desirable for my tiny layouts. The lack of details is pish-posh to me, thats why Ozark Miniatures exists and I got lots of spare parts to pick from…and,
2: They are cheap, I mean REALLY cheap, as in inexpensive! What a godsend during a period when everything has been skyrocketing thru the rooftop. When the vultures on Ebay only use BIN listings for a broken RARE HARD TO FIND Lionel 0-6-0 with a missing wheel for only $100, makes you want to scream after a while. These will be very welcome. I am considering selling off what few larger items I do have in order to fund a larger (and smaller) roster [:D]
[:D]i for one of many are happy that the c19 is coming, these were used by queensland railways, down here in ozz,so a couple of these on my roster will be great, from what i can see,are they slightly bigger than the annie, looking forward to seeing one,one good thing about trains,IF YOU LIKE IT RUN IT,YOUR RAILWAY,YOUR RULES,ENJOY,CHEERS,PETER in ozzie[8D]
