If some of you may have been following my work, I already have a 1 1/2 x 7 foot diorama. But I have started a smaller one. I will be posting up dates here, and on WPF.
It’s based on a Junction with the WC (Ex MILW), and a UP/CNW. The interlocking tower is Boarded up, but CNW still uses it for storage. I have yet decided weather to put stop signs on the CNW and WC. Or have signals for the WC, and stop signs and a track lock for the CNW.
So far this is what I have done. The chalk lines are where the Roads and road bed will go. Sorry for the bad quality.
Today I picked up some supplies from my LHS. Cork roadbed, code 83 flex track, glue, and CNW “pink Lady” ballast where on the top of my list. I glued the cork road bed down, then the code 83 flex. After the glue dried I did a light rusty wash on the track.
Lookin good! You should build your diorama to modual specs, then you could connect them if you wanted to later on or add them on to your current/future layout.
