New DPM Buildings?

Has anyone seen the new DPM buildings on their LHS shelves yet? They are a bank building & a bakery. I’m particularly interested in the bakery as I’m a sucker for most any building with either bay windows OR a turret.

The DPM web site shows a tentative release date of 4/20; I don’t know if it was on time OR how long it would take for them to go through the distribution channel.

Thanks.

Do you have a link for these? I don’t see them on their site.

Pictures appear in the June issue of MR in the DPM ad. I would note also the sharp price increase for these new items relative to previous DPM models…more than double the price of the rest of their other regular kits and even better than 50% above the M.T. Arms Hotel, which formerly was their most expensive. I’d guess that built-ups are going to be at least in the $75 range.

This price hike stuff is bad news for me. I liked the look of DPM stuff in N and planned on using all/mostly DPM.

Hobby Lobby just started carrying their kits. The N scale kits were around $13-$15.

IIRC, they now come with all the extra detail parts and dry transfer sheets for the signage, not just four walls, a sheet of styrene for the roof, and a sheet acetate for the windows.

Walthers site has 243-12300 DPM stone bakery TBA with no estimate.

N scale is in stock.

I understand that but the amount of detail parts included (most of which likely could just as easily be generate on your computer for free anyway) doesn’t justify doubling the kit price, let alone what I anticipate the RTR price of these structures will be.

DPM Select Building Kits are unique works of art, thoroughly researched and designed by an architect, illustrating a superior standard of craftsmanship. Realism is captured in period-authentic ornamentation and in crafted details like naturally aged brick and mortar, rooftop chimneys, duct work and drainage. Thick styrene plastic construction ensures structure stability and a newly developed state-of-the-art interlocking wall alignment system facilitates quick and accurate assembly. Finished edges reduce preparation time and streamline overall assembly. Several styles of window treatments and decals are included.

12200 - First Bank (HO Scale)
First Bank is a realistic stately representation of an early 1900’s Neoclassical-styled Main Street corner building with etched stone fluting and a chiseled roofline parapet. Period details include clear windows, window treatments, corner-hung sign with signature Roman numeral clock, rooftop chimneys, ductwork, downspout, exterior flag pole bracket and Old Glory. Footprint: 5 1/8" x 4 1/8".

Price: $37.99
