Who got it? Some good information and a neat segment on the Zephyer. Also the collector coin is a 4-8-8-4. Looks like a good series.

Is this supposedly sent to subscribers? Because I never get any extras with my magazines, and until last month I received MR, Trains, AND Classic Trains. I dropped Trains because I don’t really have much interest in modern railroading and picked up RMC, they cover a lot more Northeast stuff since they are located up this way and IMO the construction articles are better - more detailed how-to. They aren;t afraid to use half a dozen smaller pictures on a page to show more steps instead of one or two half-page size photos. However, they do leave something to be desired in the proofreading department, there’s always spelling and punctuation errors.

THis is the 2nd DVD got it today and it had some good information on it. A better production than #1 was.
Has anyone ever gotten an explanation of why some subscribers recieve these DVDs and others don’t? I’ve never seen one but might be interested in buying the series.
Lots of interesting things. I was facinated by the collection of brass steam on the display shelves. The extra on garden RR was interesting as my wife has this huge garden. Maybe next year. I liked the first one better but I think because it was novel. This had to be much better to seem as good. The mood seemed to support spacemouse’s idea that the imaginary artistry is an important aspect of the sport.
It sounds like they need to figure out how to set up online ordering of these things…
