There are four new SD70ACe’s on the ATN (Alabama Tenn River Railroad, ex CSX) rip tracks in their Gadsden AL yard. They are in EMD paint, #1202-05 and were delivered to the ATN by the NS at their Siskin interchange yard last week, 9/5/12, I think. Three are coupled together (no mu cables that I can see) on one track and the fourth one on track beside the three. Anyone out there know where they are headed, CSX in Bhm perhaps? Feel certain they are not for the short line ATN.

Reported to be temporarily testing on the ATN.
Trying to figure out how ATN got so lucky to test the 4- SD70ACe’s; the reason must have something to do with the fact that ATN runs thru Albertville, AL, headquarters for Progress Rail and EMD is a division of Progress Rail. Anyone where these locos were mfg?

All built at London, ON. ENDX 1205 was the last locomotive built before the plant closed. These locomotives were completed by special agreement between the company and the employees after the lockout and closing announcement.
Anybody have any photos of the units?
Are these the units that have the snazzy new traction motor wiring?
goggle EMDSD70ACe Gadsden, AL and you will find several photo sites of the referenced locos.

They are painted in the current Blue and Silver demo paint scheme. Otherwise they are standard Tier 3 SD70ACes.
