I’m modeling D & H Adirondack Branch, with connections to the mainline at Saratoga. Coincidentally, B & M and Rutland have running rights on my railroad. What do you want to know?
Why is it that when counting New England RR’s, everybody seems to leave out the New Haven? 
Considering you mentioned Fitchburg (which the New Haven also served), you might want to check out the New Haven Forum at the New Haven Railroad Historical & Technical Assoc.'s website (nhrhta.org). There are several former and current RR employees that “hang out” over there, plus a bunch of fans (like me).
It’s not a super-strict forum, either. Why, just the other day, somebody was asking about B&M power being run on the NH’s Hartford line… LOL
