New Fostoria Ohio Scanner Site

There is a new site offering live scanning radio of Fostoria, Ohio as well as Durand and Delray Tower, Michigan.

Just go to http://www.greatlakeslive.com and select “Audio Streams” at the top of the page.

Happy Scanning!

Murray:

Thanks for the link…my shallow life is now a little more complete. I really missed the Fostoria scanner, it made life a little more interesting in those long winter months.

You’re very welcome Ed.

Enjoy the live scanner activity!

I have listened to this way too much today. Currently:

Q272 is northbound out of Fostoria, Q381 is westbound at Godsend following Q393 which set off cars at the west siding, Q236 is following Q272 and is turning the corner at F tower. Also K179 is holding at Jones Road for Q272 to clear. There is an H795 which is parked with a taxi picking up their crew.

On the NS side NS 306 is leaving, picking up one extra unit at Blair Yard with 13J following, after setting off 1 car at the Mixing Center. I80 (extra 280 is around MP285. NS251 is approaching Fostoria from the east and L72 is lurking.

This is good action. I missed it. It will really be interesting in the winter, when the snow is flying.

I have it on every evening myself Ed. Great action!

I’ve been trying greatlakeslive dot com for three days, and all I can get is a construction page. Is this an accurate perception? - a.s.

Al:

Not sure what you mean by construction page. I am listening in now. Lots of activity the past hour with 14 trains on CSX and NS.

One of the more interesting things was hearing the Q383-17 (Cumberland - Chicago) this morning at 10am then hearing just now (1108pm) conversing with the CSX Chicago dispatcher.

Great site, I was a tower Op way back when and this is like a trip down memory lane.

Al:

You were hat the main page. If you look at the top of that page it will say “Audio Streams”. Click that and select the link you want.

If you want to listen to Fostoria, you can also use this link:

Hope this clarifies.

Very neat, thanks for the link!
