New Fresh Cherries at Walmart

Stopped into my local Walmart yesterday and they had the new Series III on the shelf.

New models include Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Ford Maverick, Ford Granada, 1956 Ford Pick-up and 1940 Ford Pick-up.

The quality is the same as the earlier runs, but overall they’re pretty decent and you can’t beat the price … only $2.49 each !!!

The new packaging is predominantly red this time … keep an eye out for them !

Mark.

Thanks for the heads-up!!! I will be picking up some pick ups if I can find 'em.

I was in a WalMart a couple of days ago, and they also had some trucks. They were mostly modern tractors of European makes. Not Fresh Cherries, but the other brand in the black boxes. I have also seen some FC in S scale.

I will have to keep an eye out for those 40s/50s pickups!! [:P]

Nice! I got a couple of the latest releases from malibu, '77 trans am, '69 cuda, and '70 chevy pickup.

I will be on the lookout for the new cherries.

I need some more pickups for my bi-level loads. They hold 10 pickups each!

Thanks for the heads up![tup] I’ve been wanting a couple of those Fords and the Hondas would be great too. Why Wally World will probably get them in around Xmas…[:-^]

If I see some of those at the Wal-Mart here or in DeRidder I’ll make sure to snag a few.

thanks for the tip!..i’ll be going there after i get off work and check it out…chuck

I picked up 5 of them myself two days ago, and yes the new boxes have more red on them, a good buy even here in Canada at $2.99.

Good Job Fresh Cherries and Wally’s World, please keep it up with more models.

Johnboy out…

OMG - Hondas? Japanese cars in HO!!! Wonderful. Take my layout up one notch for realism!

I was wondering what was going on there - for the past few weeks the old Malibu were marked down, first to $1.34 ea, and the other day to $1 ea - even the 5 paks were $5!! Good to hear that new stock is coming - I was afraid they were going to discontinue them [:O]

The thing that bugs me about how they are packaged (not a walmart thing I realize) is that they put different era cars in the same package. Thankfully there are single car sets to purchase.

My Wal-Mart is getting redone. The have the sporting goods where the toys are. I have no idea where the toy dept. is. I will have to look next time.

I’ll have to look at the local Wally World next time. I could use some 60-70’s era cars, that aren’t Porches or Camaros.

I found out last time that Hotwheels also makes HO scale cars. They had a 2005 mustang GT that I almost bought. If they made all the real cars they’ve made over the years in HO, they’d probably make a lot more money.

I never see any good stuff at my local WM…no Fresh Cherries in 1/87, no Malibu trucks. No pickups. [sigh]
