New from Model Railroader Books: Mountain to Desert: Building the HO Scale Daneville and Donner River
I have enjoyed all of Pelle Soeborg’s books. Unfortunately, I do not have this one. Despite the good ratings Pelle’s books get, and the fact that he has a new book coming out this year through Kalmbach, Kalmbach is no longer printing Mountain to Desert. This book can be found, but prices range from $60 - $250 through online booksellers. This is not the only Kalmbach model railroading book I have had difficulty finding, and when found, it is at an outrageous price. There are so many of other Kalmbach titles available, that they can be obtained at deep discounts. Yet those that appear to have a demand warrnting price gouging by sellers are no longer in print.
Kalmbach, Can’t reprints of these in demand titles be produced? What about prioritizing some of these in demand titles for digital production? It is extremely frustrating to see out of print titles, apparently in demand, at outrageous prices. It is also frustrating to see you request additional money from subscribers to view the digital copy of Model Railroader magazine.
