Welcome aboard! Do you have a layout yet? Or still planning one? Mine’s a 1/24th scale narrow gauge layout set in dramatic, mountainous desert scenery. Lots of trestles, bridges and tunnels.
Well, currently, I am planning an indoor layout with a cartoon theme. It will start out as a small circle, because thats how most layouts start. It will use a mix of scales such as 1:20.3, 1:22.5, and 1:24. Locomotives I plan to get include the Hartland Big John, The LGB 2077D 0-4-0T Porter, and the Accucraft C-16 in the Bumblebee paint sceme. The trains will also have faces, similar to the Thomas characters. Thats only a preview on what my layout will be about. Like most layouts, this one will never be finished.
Hi Trainguy[#welcome] to the forum, You say you are going to have a indoor layout, remember you will need a lot more room than you think. Looking are your list of locos the minimun curves on your layout will need to be LGB R3 or other makes at same curves or bigger. One othe thing if in your bio you put a giude to where you are it helps us when you are asking advice but the choice is yours. As you can see im in the UK over the pond. One question, Do (or did you) have (or had) a smaller-scale railroad layout? for some reason, I think I remember you floating around on the Model Railroader’s forums.
