The September 1981 Trains magazine has a 14 page article on I-5’s, which includes a photo of the backhead of one of the locomotives. http://www.railpub.com/ may have a copy of that magazine.

Check out this video called “A Great Railroad at Work” circa 1942, a promotional film about the NH.

The film gives a behind the scenes look at Passenger, Freight, and maintenance operations in 1942. It includes several shots of an I-5 pulling the Yankee Clipper. It may have a few cab shots, I can’t remember.
