Just wanted to say hi.
I’ve been a long time fan, reading Model Railroader since around 1990. I never got a chance though of making a layout and have finally decided to. I enjoy 1940s-1960s mostly and also want to make the layout so I can do some operating. I initially just thought to make more of a diorama, but it seems fun doing operating. My first railroad was a Santa Fe NScale that I got for Christmas in 1970. I still like NScale, but decided that I want to do the Milwaukee Road since, as I grew up watching their trains. Soon I plan to tackle making benchwork and get things going.

sorry about the late welcome but welcome.
Welcome celbe00!
All I can say about this fun hobby is: so many models, so many projects, so little time. There’s only one rule: HAVE FUN!
Thanks Dave. I will keep you posted.

I agree…I have so much to build but want to be focused and start somewhat small. Luckily I got into woodworking so making the benchwork should be pretty easy. Nice pic of your trains btw

If it was not for this site I would have gave up years ago! Hum, may I should think about that? If it was not for the help I got here, I have around $8,000.00 more in the bank and could park my cars in the garage?
Quick, runaway as fast as you can!
