The new Herpa Cessna 172 will be arriving at the North American distributor next week.
The Cessna 172 Skyhawk made its debut in 1956. It was affordably priced and easy to fly with a top speed of almost 144 miles per hour. It’s still in production and is the best-selling four-seat civilian aircraft in aviation history.
At $46.95 the Herpa model is a bit pricey, but it is a super-nice model from one of the world’s leading manufacturers of aircraft models (Herpa actually sells more Wings models than cars and trucks).

Sure is a nice model. Throw a small motor in it and have the rop rotate and you got one heck of a nice running airoplane on the layout.
Well for that price, it should come with a motor!

Thanks for posting the info on the C172. I have logged many hours in them and they are a great fun and a forgiving airplane. My layout will have an aircraft restoration factory incorporated into it. I already have several flat cars with fuselages and wings on them for loads and many aircraft parts in HO scale. I though about have a track or two inot the building with an overhead crane to work the loads. It should turn out pretty nice with the ideas I have.
