New Jersey Transit Santa trains cancelled

None of the Whippany trains have been cancelled. The Whippany Railway Museum will be hosting four trains per day; on five days in early and mid December. Visit www.whippanyrailwaymuseum.net for details.

That hurricane was how long ago? And the government run railroad is still not running. Apparently Obama isn’t sending them enough Obamamoney from the magic money tree. If this was the private sector, that railroad would be running as soon as possible, making a profit for the company. Without any government monkey business.

Well, at least MY Jersey Transit will be running this Christmas. “Everything’s swell with Lionel!”

Flashback… If this was Bush, and it was New Orleans, then wed have another national crisis on our hands. But, its neither…

Well, our scrooge/grinch Jeffrey Guse is at it again. Right away its the governments fault. Have you ever heard the expression, ACT OF GOD??!! But then again as Rush’s lap dog, you’re probably not. I also guess that you haven’t visited the physical layout of NJ Transit. Or, looked at the damage the Superstorm Sandy caused. However, I’m not going to let Transit off the hook. I guess the executives were never Boy Scouts whose motto is, Be Prepared! And what the heck is Paul Marynowych talking about?

@ Jeffrey,

I hear ya on the government vs. private run railroad, but I can’t begin to tell you the level of destruction that struck the entire system (I live right off of the Morris-Essex Branch). This particular branch, while it does feed into New York Penn Station, isn’t exactly the most heavily trafficked. It was one of the last to receive attention, so really, given the time it’s actually quite impressive that they were able to get everything back online as quickly as the NJ Transit workers did.
