Well I am about to embark on a new layout, benchwork and all.
I have about a 12x7x6 area so I will do an extended L shape but I have plenty of space to do a few shelf levels above it as well as the chance to do a seiling line around my basement.
I am guessing that jus having one track go toeach level and branch out on the shleves possibley with a helix.
Anyway I just want to focus on the benchwork and first level now and go from there.

LOL I am just going nuts thinking about the levels I can do but I just need to relax and start with the basic benchwork. I am going to do my best and not do any foam, when I see the layouts with the wooden risers and such I just think it looks really nice… Joseph
I dunno what you guys would call the board I’ve used, it’s soft and one side is painted (we call it flameguard or pinex).
I just push my track pins thru the track and woodlands scenic bed and into the soft board, I’ve used the cookie cutter method with 9mm MDF board under the sub-bed raise it up and screw in place. If you make a boo-boo just pull the pins and start over.
Easy.
