Is there any forum or “expert” where I might get a critique of a layout I have designed. I would be looking for comments on:
- cost
- test
-ease of operation by teenager
-maintainability
-etc.

Isbensky,
People here will be glad to but can you post your plans and if not can you give some verbal descriptions.
Also, I wouldn’t belittle yourself as a teenager (or your own teens), they are pretty smart these days; smarter than I was as a teen; sometimes too smart for their own good. ![]()
Isbensky,
Welcome to the CTT forum. [#welcome]
If you can scan your plan and are willing to e-mail it to me I can post it for you.
There are several layout designers (Thor being one) that will be happy to give you some pointers.
Also be aware there are several other students that regularly post on the forum and they would be happy to have another join the student/teen crew.
Regards,
Roy
I’m not a teen but was thinking along the same lines concerning a new layout I’m working on. How do you post a pic to the forum?
I am sorry for not being more explicit. I am not a teen. I am planning a layout for my grandson, who will soon be a teen. I assume he will soon tire of watching super O trains running in a circle. I am trying to plan/build a layout which will keep his present interest and provide some operating challenge.
If he is into computors, then maybe you would want to condside a command controled system. Computors and trains, can it get any better?
Hello - Not sure I understood your post. Do you have a “Super O” layout? Or not? If you do you will enjoy the sites below. Layouts are posted as well:

I just added an Ice loader accessory to my little layout. It sparked the interest in my 12 yr old to play with the layout . He would load the ice cubes, bring the train around, unload them, bring it back to the tower and repeat. I am going to add more action to my layout. I want to add a whistle button (running beeps so no whistle on board) and a K-line gate man. I am getting the k-line club saw mill and dump car but no sure where I will fit it on my small layout.
