New lighting in the train room!!

Over the weekend, I added some additional lights in the train room, specifically for the layout. The room already has a single overhead light fixture in the center of the room, but it never really lit up the layout very well. So, I added 2 sections of track lighting directly over the layout, and let me tell you, it turned out to be a real pain in the ( insert expletive here! ). I also put in switches to be able to control the new lights independantly of the main room light, so I had to run the wires from in the attic, which this time of year is about 125 degrees, and the attic access in on the complete opposite end of the house from the layout room, so it turned out to be a lot more work than I had in mind! Anyway, I am very pleased with the results. Here are a couple of pics.

Wow…nice. I might have to do something like that to my layout room…as soon as I complete the layout[:D].

You did a good job. I know you will be happy with track lighting. I started out with flourescent, then floods, and then frustration with the lighting never being where I wanted it. Finally, I installed track lighting and can put a light anywhere its needed as my layout grows or changes.
