New line to Jamestown

We’ve had a few weeks of good weather giving us an opportunity to work outdoors. A good thing too; we’re hosting a Northern Nevada GRS meeting this summer. This new line down to is the latest addition to the N-C-O Div. The project calls for a rock garden and 16” high retaining wall, with backfill, following an existing path on a natural hillside below the N-C-O Div mainline. The track plan is based on John Allan’s Timesaver (with scenery) and is for operation by kids and grownups alike.

The photos show rock garden area and retaining wall. The new line leaves the main at left and proceeds behind rocks and bush/trees to the site at right.

New switch installed and line diverging around hill; rock garden.

Thats some darn nice work! [tup]
