I see the new catalog is out. About 8 to 10 pages long. I see that there are new items for the Polar Express. A hot chocolate car, a hand car, and some new figurines.
Now there are 6 cars in that train.

can yo tell me where i can find one of these catalogs at and what is the expected delivery date.
I picked one up yesterday from my local dealer. I did not see it yet on the Lionel website. I went back and looked and it has 14 pages of stuff in it. I wonder how many different cars they will keep coming out with for the P.E.

The website Lionel Christmas Catalog is only 4 pages long. I wonder why thy wouldn’t publi***he total catalog? Strange…
Buckeye,
I found that strange also. The dealer didn’t even know that the new catalog was coming. He said he found out about it whwn it arrived at the store.

Gonna have to call Treasured Toys and reserve that diner car.
Jim
Thatboy37, is there an authorized Lionel dealer near you? TomS is telling us that he found the catalog at his dealer in Hamburg, NY (near Buffalo). I’m going to look around here in Central Ohio for a catalog.
Did anybody see the sneak peak of the Hiawatha? The front of the loco opens up!

jaabat,
The new car is the “hot chocolate” car and not the diner. Don’t reserve the wrong one.

thatboy37,
Tom has a complete PE and I bought one and gave it to my daughter. She runs it under her tree at Christmas. I don’t think you were on the forum when I posted photos of her layout under the tree.
The layout was real simple. The lights are under the “snow”. The snow is a batting you buy for pillows at Jo-Ann’s. They are just Christmas lights. The buildings were from Sam’s Club.
Hot Chocolate car. Gotcha.
Wonder what it looks like.

CHRISTMAS? In April? … ???
Not to intentionally send anyone to MTJ from here but I posted some pics of the new Polar Express stuff part of the catalog here… http://www.modeltrainjournal.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3005
I am not a dealer nor do I have anything to do with anything other than passing on the info…
Thanks
thanks Marty
The Hot chocolate car is a must have and the add on figure as well…will pass on the hand car
I ordered them all. I’m a sucker for the PE.
well me too Marty.
By the way only got mine about 2 months ago and was very impressed by this set. Can’t say enough good thing about that Berkshire (already had one from a previous set) and the car are much nicer than expected .
Well Lionel is on to something with this license and hope to see it growing for many years to come.
thanks for the the pics marty. it is definetly a most have. the figurs i will have to get because it goes with the set. could you put a order in for me to just joking. again thanks and is a must have.
It sounds like Lionel will have to make a lot of these cars. They must know how many PE sets are out there. I wonder what percentage they use to plan on how many to make.
