I was in Wal-Mart today and checked out the Malibu cars and trucks. They had a Mercedes-Benz L319 Van and a VW Kasten-Wagon Van. The VW is like the Microbus but the there are no side windows in the back and the Mercedes-Benz is like a UPS type delivery van. This was the first time I had seem these and I got one of each. They had some cars but they were all the exotic imports and of no use to me. Jim

I haven’t seen those yet. (checked today) Mine had a few new different Hot Wheels 1/87 that I hadn’t seen before.
Seek and ye shall find. They also have cheap craft paints, but you get a better selection at art supply places. The big draw does seem to be the Malibu cars, though. A while back they were $1.67 at Wal-Mart, and about $4 each at the LHS. Uneven selection, depending on your store, but they’re great little models and you sure aren’t going to beat that price.

Ive seen the Reel Rides cars at our local Wal-mart - which includes the 1972 Chevy Pickup. Ours also gets a box of the Fresh Cherries every month - Gremlin, Pacer, Mustang (not convertable) Hornet and Bobcat (Pinto). Tough timing it so I get there before they’re gone!
Well if you guys in the States have them now, us Canadians should have them by spring.
They didn’t have them. I almost got a '61 Jag E-type because I loved that car as a kid.
If I recall correctly, you won’t be seeing the Reel Rides in Canada because of licensing limitations. This may have changed but the original movie licenses were for the U.S. only.
Motormax won’t have a '49 Ford but they did announce a 1940 Ford pickup and a '56 Ford pickup for release next year. Like we needed another mid-50s Ford pickup.
The only new Malibu I have heard of is the new Chevy Camaro in S scale (too small to be licensed in HO).
The Mercedes van has been out for a while. It was one of the earliest models produced by High Speed.
Still wish RC2 would have taken the big step and started releasing some of the Johnny Lightning models in HO.
Mine also carries HO Malibu tractor semi’s for $5 and Norscot Catapiler construction equipement in HO.
I got one on the VW windowless vans,decalled it for a locksmith,and put it to work. No sense spending 2 bucks on something if it cant bring back a little revenue for ya![:D]
