Hi to everyone,
I’m new here on the forum and would like to introduce myself. I got my first train set when I was 5 years old when my father brought me home from the hospital after an operation. As soon as I got home he brought me down to the basement and to my surprise I saw this beautiful American flyer steam engine running around the track. I totally forgot about my discomfort and just wanted to stay in the basement watching the trains.
I now model N scale but I still have those American flyer trains and I occasionally take them out to remind me of the hours of fun I had running those trains with my Dad.
[#welcome] Bernart! And welcome back to that long-lost love of model trains. I hope you have a great time of it. You’ll find a treasure-trove of knowledge and experience with the guys here.
Enjoy.

Glad to have you on board! [:)]
Thank you all for a nice welcome to the forum. I didn’t mentions but I have been modeling for the past few years. Now I’ll say the unpopular word, I’ve designed and am building a layout to run modern Bullet trains. You see very little about these train especially in model RR publications, but as I see it, there are some basic elements that apply to most if not all model RR.
But again, thank you all for a warm welcome.
Bernart,
A warm and friendly Welcome! [#welcome]
