new mergers and acquisitions

At the train show in Binghamton today I aquired some new locos.[:)] Returning to the hobby with very limited room, I rousted my old N scale stuff out after twentmurffum years.I have left the Ogauge right where it was. I have also always wanted and HO layout, so I now am building up both for small layouts. The HO layout from around the xmas tree has…ah stayed out, ha ha.

I added a 2-8-8-2 articulated to my N scale, not quite the Big Boy Ive wanted, but will do well, especially since it will navigate the 9.75 curves my small layout requires![8D]It was used, made in germany and looks like a MP stamping…Model Power???. After some cleaning and oiling runs ok. I paid $100.00 for it, dont know if that was good or bad. I was there, it was there, and I had the 100, so it followed me home. ( can I keep it?? huh huh?)[swg] I’ve seen the price for new Big Boys in HO ranging from $299.99 and up and up and up. Seems right now there isnt anything close in N being made at the moment. Its a Penn road label, dont know if Penn used them or not. C&O/B&O apparently did. It doesnt mater to me. I may change it. It will have to have a space directly across from the feeder track to the turntable so it can ride straight across to 90’ turntable![;)]

On the HO front, I keep adding…as long as it doesnt cost much…you know…if I collect them I will build a small layout!!! (oh where oh where will I find the room? I do hope to be moving this year). So I added an IHC 2-8-2 Mikado ( C&O) new in box for around fifty bucks. Ive read bad things about IHC and good things. It runs very well and will definately navigate the 15" cuves I again must have better than I thought it might! Hoo Ray!![tup] One thing I can say is it very very quiet. If it wasnt moving, you wouldnt know it was runni
