This is a nice line and a much needed boost for the service. I’ve ridden it several times in my travels to NM but the last few times each trip has become slower and slower. Not sure I would rely upon it if I was living in Belen & working in Santa Fe.

Even if it is slow,I wish light rail existed between Cheyenne and Denver

I have ridden it between ABQ and SAF. I thought the price was very low and the cars were almost full. I wish they would turn down the interior light in the cars on the late night run from SAF to ABQ so we could enjoy the view.

a farebox recovery ratio of 13 1/2 %? that’s pretty bad. what are the daily passenger numbers?

I rode this line once while on vacation. I really liked the interior design and enjoyed a very friendly door chimewith the voice from my favorite cartoon character. Too bad fare box recovery is low. Give it time. Albuquerque is growing and will need it more in the future. By the way, there is a city bus line from the Albuquerque Alvarado Station downtown that will take you to the baggage curb at the airport in less than an hour in case you need to connect by air.

I truly think that the more connection options a system has then there is a snowball effect on an increse in passengers,In Utah we have a similar system that the northern half is up and running.Local bus feeds the train stations,Greyhound is conneected at Ogden and Salt LakeStations. Also at Salt Lake station light rail connects you to much of the city and soon to even the airport and much more could be done like allowing the ski resort and casino resort buses to use Salt Lake and other stations.Bottom line is the more modes you have to feed the train the better for all.
