I was checking out the Bachmann site and came across an announcement that they will be starting a new line of models in a scale that is smaller than Z scale! Since Z is the last letter of the alphabet, they are calling the new small scale “A-1 Scale”. Here’s a shot of one of their first releases:
Wow, that’s great news, Bob! And perhaps in response to the announcement of this new line by Bachmann can you confirm some of the scuttlebutt that I’ve been hearing on-line? It concerns the U.S. Mint having approached Bachmann about having them mint some over-sized coinage for our country, in hopes of offsetting the preception of its shrinking value? ;-))
I can just imagine running a train this scale on a layout.
I put my face next to the mainline to get look at the train approaching. [:D]
I forget to notice a little dust on the roadbed as I breathe in.
Three seconds later, when the train is less than a foot away…AHHH!---- AHHHHHH! CHOOOOOOOOOO!!! One of my super sneezes! [B)]
As I open my eyes…the train’s completely dissappeared from sight!! [:0][:0][:0][:0]
I crawl all over the room looking for that steamer and the 5 freight cars it was pulling. [sigh]
Then…A minute later my wife walks in with a mad look on her face!!! [|(]
“O.K TONY! Your jokes have gone way too far this time!! We’ve got company coming!! This is no time to be putting your stuff in our dinner while it’s cooking on the stove top!!”
She shoves a pot into my chest. Confused, I look down. [:p][%-)]
Of course inside the pot of brocolli casserole is a steamer and 5 sauce covered freight cars! [(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D][:o)]
Yikes I just found an A-1 scale train in my left nostril! I must have been inhaling too hard at the LHS. How do I get it back without the dealer thinking I stole it?

I’ve heard that in order for anyone to be able to SEE them, the steam locos are only going to be released as Triplexes, Big Boys and Yellowstones. I can hardly wait for a set of their invisible Ore Jennies.
