YOU GOTA BE KIDDEN ME NO OPIONS?!!!

Are you saying that you want to build this layout? Or are you just asking for opinions on the layout itself? Are we talking about Bob Smaus’ layout?

As for Bob’s layout, it has been done very well. I enjoy seeing his work in the magazines and admire what he has done.

If you intend to build a layout, do you really want to copy what someone else has done? I don’t know of any modelers who have done a layout who didn’t wi***hay had done something differently, at least in some areas of the layout. If you copy someone’s layout, you will be copying their “errors” and you may not be happy with the results. Even someone else’s “perfect” layout will not meet all of your particular needs.

That being said, if you want to use someone else’s trackplan as the BASIS of your layout, with modifications that suit YOU, then it’s a great starting point.

Just my opinion, though. Besides, I copied from John Allen when I got re-started in this hobby! LOL

Darrell, quiet…for now

I haven’t known anybody who was happy with a layout they copied from someone else. Put your imagination to work and start coming up with ideas. You’ll be surprised how quickly they come, once you get started.
