Well to say I was gob-smacked to see a QR loco as the lead in your product review, would be an understatement. I believe that this is this is only the second review of an Australian loco you have published. The last was about 40-45 years (may have been longer) and that was of of a NSWGR AC 60 Bayer Garrett, imported into Australia by the then leading supplier of brass in Aus, The Model Dockyard in Melbourne, and imported into the U.S by P.F.M. At the moment I own too much current U.S. equipment to considering changing, a couple of k’s worth. I never believed that there would be a market for such equipment, considering that QLD has a population of just under 3 mill, and probably about 2000 modellers Jason from Rapido could understand the costs and risks involved in this venture.
