New Operating System Revisited

[:D]

Just this morning I discovered a new operating system. When I disconnected my TMCC and my DCS cables I had a Williams Scale PRR GG-1 on the track. As I turned the handle of my Z-4000 the engine began to creep forward much to my amazement. I spent hours turning the handle up and making it go faster and turning the handle down and making it go slower. I think I am onto a bullet proof operating system here. Guess what fellows, it was FUN! No downloads, system files, rebooting, signal worries, blown boards. Just pure 100% fun. I feel like a kid again. Anyone else discover this?

Have a nice weekend fellows!

Still works like a charm, I may patent it!

RINGGGG, RINGGGG…Hello??? … Brian!!!.. Its for you!!![(-D][(-D][(-D][swg]

I still run my circus layout this way and yes it is fun. And I also enjoy the DCS on the large layout. With today’s kids loving video games and computers, I think once their dad let them use DCS or TMCC they will also love the High Tech of the trains.

I agree. Maybe it’s my age (45, today) but I still love the handle thing. Must be a flashback to my youth. Today I am running my Lima Berk from K-Line under TMCC and I must tell you I, too, love the command items. It is a great time for this hobby. Tons of choices for each mood.

Hi John, [bday]

Is that the new K-Line Scale Berk? I saw one yesterday at our local hobby shop. I could not believe the detail and all the piping on it. You should post some photos of it. The catalog doesn’t do it justice.

How is the smoke unit? I have a few K-lines and have been disappointed in the smoke unit.

Hey Thanks. IF you think it looks great you should see it run. Awesome sounds, cruise control to die for and great smoke. I’ll try and get some pictures tomorrow and post them. This engine is an A+. Get one![;)]

Hi John,

I glad it works good for you. Curse control has been standard on MTH PS2 for some time. I love running some of my steam engines at 2 or 3 SMPH with synchronized smoke and chugging rate to match wheels turning. I have some 10 second move shots I will have to e-mail you. They are two large of a file to post.

I too love the cruise control. It’s nice to enjoy both ways. Seems like K-Line really nailed the cruise control sytem on thier new Barkshire. Very very smooth.[:D]
