New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal

Great looking train depoe and layout. Thank you for sharing. Stay on track, Douglas from Salem, Oregon

Pure inspiration from a master. Excellent work.

Felt like I was actually there. Great job.

Wow! Reminded me of the many times I was in Chicago Union Station. Amazing art and attention to detail. You can smell the cigar smoke and dirty steam.

WOW! I love the small station scenes where every box and barrel is modeled with a major name railroad train stopped to pick up and let off passengers. But, the other end of the spectrum is so rarely a part of a model railroad. We only have so much space and too often a large facility consumes what little we have. But, when the large facility is there and so well done, it makes you want to do great things. Beautiful, just beautiful.

I was born and reared in New Orleans. Many times I have ridden in and out of N.O.U.P.T., on transcontinental trips on the Sunset Limited - pulled by Southern Pacific and by Amtrak engines. I made numerous runs in the Panama Limited to Chicago and later the City of New Orleans. I used to make the run up to Hammond, Louisiana in the I.C. quite a bit, too. My Dad made sure I was on the last run of the Southern Belle on the Kansas City Southern. I rode the L&N to Keesler Air Force Base (and back) for training in Biloxi. The Southern steam excursions ran out of New Orleans and I made several of those trips. I know this terminal very well. Cliff has brought back some golden memories. His modeling is of the highest caliber as he can evoke emotions and feelings of nostalgia with his re-creation. Thank you, Cliff.

Beautiful and dramatic modeling and detailing. Wish I had those capabilities. Thanks for sharing with other hobbiests.

Having been in this hobby for many years, I can say that it’s master modelers like this, that have driven the hobby to where it is, and where it will go. Truly a work of art, thank you fro sharing it with us.

Well, that is just flat out beautiful!! Sorry for the short note, but I need to go watch this again….and again!!

OUTSTANDING!!! Enjoyed it so much that I watched it twice

wow that great detail on main station.
thank you for video.

One of the best modeling jobs I’ve ever seen !!! Love to see
video of the rest of the layout… "awesome "

I’m delighted with this miniature terminal station. Never seen so many details, really was speechless, because until today I had never seen anything like that beauty. Something like this is that we who do modeling, we stay with even more desire to improve in our work.

WOW! Fantastic!

Very well done, thank you for bringing a view of the 50’s to us.

I can see way it took so long to complete. Great job!

Since I am from New Orleans, I can tell you that he did an excellent job. It looks just like the UPT. Now the city is installing a Street Car line from Canal Street to the UPT.

Words can’t even describe!!

Great work…well detailed, but needed a bit of dirt and grime to make it look a bit more authentic… remember it’s a railroad station!
