Too bad WRP didn’t get the Kambach magazines. But it takes money to keep 'em going when so many can hit the interwebz for train stuff.

I don’t think so. TRP is put out by WRP (White River Productions).
TRP is a magazine. It wouldn’t acquire anything from Kalmbach as such. WRP is the publisher, analogous to Kalmbach Media, and as noted is the entity that would be acquiring any magazine titles from Kalmbach.

We are fortunate somebody bought the magazines and continues to publish, for now at least.
We are even more fortunate that the buyer of the magazines chose to improve, continue, and debug the forums, and maintain them as a free resource.
