There are even more pictures at Factory Direct Trains. Looks like a great model! I think I’ll be getting mine tomorrow. There’s about a 2 day wait period between when Walthers gets something and when my LHS gets it from them, and Walthers got them in yesterday.
I am really not a fan of the New York Central, but WOW that is a nice looking locomotive.

It looks 100 times better than the MTH version IMHO, I just hope it has driver lights like their engine.
BLI never mentioned driver lights as a feature, so I’m not expecting it to have them. And if it doesn’t, I’m sure it wouldn’t be the most difficult project if you think it’s necessary. MTH seems to be more into lighting gimmicks and stuff than BLI. But this new BLI model looks a lot sharper than what I’ve seen of the MTH model, and they were even kind enough to offer it in DC for people like me.
So it’s offered in DC only, does that mean it’s also offered as a “NO” sound version, in other words just a regular locomotive? I would be willing to part with one of my LMB versions if I can get it without all of the electronic garbage in it as well. As for the detailing, it has more than my LMB but on the other hand it’s also quite a bit newer and of course from 3 feet away…
