i just got an email from Atlas about their new signal system
http://www.atlasrr.com/Trackmisc/hosignals.htm
they look pretty good but i won’t be using them , they didn’t have signalling systems back in 1905 . hopefully someone here will give us a report when they actually start shipping
May be not on your railroad, but major railroads in North America and Europe had signalling systems in the 1800’s.
Well, As nice as they are, and yes they are really nice! Until the price drops or I win the lottery I’ll stick to making my own. The price is a bit steep.
Nice, but wow it is expensive!
Still it’s good for the market. The more competition, the better.
They do look very expensive. I’ll probably use Oregon Rail Supply or Tomar in conjunction with Bruce Chubb’s C/MRI Interface, but these look really nice.
Thank’s for the info Ernie! At the rate I’m progressing, I’ll be ready to add signaling in 2020. I can pick up on used stuff then.
thanks , i didn’t know that . thought signalling was much later . i guess i assumed since none of the prototype photos i’ve seen for my specific prototype have signals , that nobody had signals . bad assumption on my part [:(]
The cost is simply too high. I fear that Atlas may have over priced them and might get stuck with a enourmous millstone on the neck.
