New SoundTraxx decoders

Has anyone seen a link about the new Soundtraxx non-sound decoders? I went to the site but I could not find anything. The new decoders are 8 pin NMRA plug and play, $19.95 each. N and HO scale versions.

I copied this from another forum.

The new decoder Soundtraxx gave away at the NMRA Convention is the 852001.
This is a 1 amp DCC Motor/lighting Decoder. It is NOT a sound decoder. The
features listed are

  • Compatible with NMRA DCC Standards and RPs
  • Supports short and long addresses
  • Supports advanced consisting
  • 13, 28 and 128 Speed Steps
  • Standard and User Loadable Speed Tables
  • Directional and Rule 17 lighting
  • Hyperlight lighting effects

In addition, it also features an NMRA 8 pin plug, Back-EMF motor control and
Tsunami-compatible for speed-matching.

They also have 5 more new decoders
851001 N-Scale, 1 amp, 2 function,
851002 N-Scale, 1 amp, 2 function,

852002 HO-Scale, 1 amp, 4 function,
852003 HO-Scale, 1 amp, 4 function,
852004 HO-Scale, 1 amp, 4 function,

I have found the info in the Yahoo SoundTraxx Group. Some over time have mentioned trouble using other decoder brands in a Consist so we believe that is why SoundTraxx has invaded the non sound decoder area.

The decoder is suppose to be similar to the TCS T4 but have the attached short harness and 8 pin plug.
