Another newbie here. Re addicted to model trains from my younger years. They were so much simpler then, now more new things and termenology. Question; Is there a dictionary of terms and devices ?? My first train set was a ( marx ) 1943 with a figure 8 layout . A lot of catching up is needed.

Down at the very bottom of the main Discussions web page is a link to the right of Trains.com Resources called Model Railroad Glossary. It’s arranged in alphabetical order so that you can look up terms more easily. It also contains RR terms, as well.

Congratulations on the retirement. Must be nice not living out of a cab and hotels anymore. I quit pulling on the wheel 30 years ago and moved in the garage. I don’t know which job is worse, Driving or turning wrenches. Sorry for being off topic.[:-^]
