I was just wondering if anyone here has heard of the new Trainz Railroading 2006 game…it looks really interesting, at least on the website. I’ve never had Trainz, but I may have to check in to this one. It has default routes, much like Microsoft Train Simulator, in fact this new version Trainz has a clip of Marias Pass…wonder how they got that idea??
There’s a different forum on this site for train simulations, but no one hardly looks at it, so I just decided to post it here. That’s why I put “off topic” because I thought it really wasn’t about what this forum tab is about. But, you’re right, it does have to do with trains, so I guess in a way I didn’t have to put that.
I’ve never owned Trainz, I’ve been a MSTS guy, but I have considered getting Trainz 04 once the 06 comes out(as I assumme at lease some places will try to get rid of the old version). The only big thing that has really intigued me is that(from what I understand, correct me if I’m wrong) one can fairly easily create there own railroad route, unlike MSTS where it’s awefully complicated. I’ve always thought that it would be neat to create and drive the fictional route of my HO model Railroad in “V” scale. Then I could see if my idea for my freelanced railroad’s route really makes sense or not.
Hey, can someone describe to me, does Trainz have a thing like MSTS where one can pull the terrain out with a program, or do you have to build every individual hill and stuff yourself.
