I have some older freight cars that need their undercarriages replaced. Does anyone know of a source for purchasing complete undercarriages?
Yes.

But around here we call them “Trucks”. If you search your vendor’s web site for “trucks” you will find all that you need.
ROAR
If they are Athearn cars, you can get them from Athearn.

CPTSail,
Could you give us some more details? Who manufactured your freight cars? Athearn, Tyco, Bachmann, LIfe Like, AHM, Bowser, etc? If you don’t have the boxes, look underneath the frames and, hopefully, you should see a name.
I’m assuming that when you say undercarriage, you’re referring to the underframe. Is that correct?
Or are you referring to the wheel assembly housing which, from my understanding, the British refer to them as “bogies” or “wheel bogies”, while in North America we typically call them “trucks”.
In any case, we can be more helpful if you provide some details and, if possible, some photos.
I thought only planes had “undercarriages”?
