Well I’ve had a few days off with not much to do, so I decided to take some videos of my layout, UP’s Sequoya Falls division.

This one is an “in cab/caboose” ride around my layout.

I couldn’t go all the way around because I am doing the old-school method of carefully balancing a camera on a long, heavy flatcar. The camera is about 40 scale feet wide, so it couldn’t make it through the bridges.

I also submitted these to the MRR “User Videos” section on Monday. They have not been posted yet, nor have I gotten any confirmation (VIA email) that they received either one. Does anyone know if these videos have to be uploaded via Youtube? [:^)](I used Google Picasa which seems like it wouldn’t have a problem.)

Maybe things are just bogged down at MRR lately.

Enjoy the videos [:D] I’m working on another, which basically is a film of my one-man operating session. Will probably be 20-25 minutes once I’ve condensed everything. [;)]

I enjoyed watching your videos. Some kind of weathering or a dull coat type spray or both on the 44 would help to take away the shiny plastic look. I agree about the railings on it.

Thanks! I agree that she would look better with some weathering. If I can get the guts to do it!

Okay, as I mentioned earlier, I submitted these videos to the “user videos” section. They have yet to appear on the website, nor have I been contacted with confirmation they received this information, acceptance/declination of theses 2 videos, etc. Since this is the first time I have tried submitting videos, is this normal? The page says “it may take up to two business days for your video…to post”. While I do not mind that it has been 5 business days since I sent these in, it would be nice to know if they even received what I sent them… I am using Picasa (free online photo/video storage through Google) and thats where I got the links that I submitted.
They recommended YouTube, which I can’t post on. (Couldn’t get parental approval [:(]) It seems like it wouldn’t matter, but maybe it does.

Are there any techies out there who might be able to provide an answer?

Who knows? Maybe things are just bogged down at the MRR office, this is probably waaaay down on their priorities list, if at all. [:P]

I weather with chalks. That way I can always wash it off if I do not like the way it turned out.

As Far as posting the video, I have not a clue.
