Hey Everyone
I was wondering if anyone had purchasesd these buildings:
Walthers
Prairie Star Milling
Magic Pan Bakeries
Lakeville Warehousing
Open-Air Transload Building
Prairie Star Elevator
I would like to know what people think of these kits, I was looking at adding them to my layout. If anyone has pictures of them build, I would love to see them.
Thanks
Haven’t bought one yet but would like to add the Open-Air Transload building to my freight terminal. I am trying to figure out if I can fit it in. I will probably have to reconfigure the track.
I built a couple of older walthers buildings. They did well for me.
I find the ones listed here attractive and may add a few down the road.
I am working on a modular building almost daily and that is where my learning experience is from. I dont feel qualified to say anything about these kits today except that I find them attractive and will make room for them.
I just got the Open Air Transload aka LCL transfer building…
Its a really nice and a simple kit. Since I just got it I don’t have enough done worth photographing but in a week or two I may post.
If you’re on the fence about getting one I’d say got for it.
does anyone else having inputs?
Thanks
is the transload building modern? would it be found in a present day-setup?
The Open Air Transload is an old-fashioned cement or stucco building.
Walthers says its a Santa Fe prototype but the New Haven had similar ones which is why I have it.
It would be good for the 1940’s on…
