New Walthers Superliners (lounge preview)

The Walthers website has a new page dedicated to the upcoming HO Superliner models including a short video clip. The lounge is the only model shown so far, but it looks very good. Although they are pretty much just like the original Walthers Superliners, they advertise a few new features; including interiors, factory applied grab irons, interior lighting capability, and a “metal” finish.

Phase IVb (the most current paint scheme) is the only announced paint scheme from Walthers so far, but in time I expect to see all other correct scheme from II-IV included. Also a Coach Baggage and Transition Dorm will likely be added to the new fleet in the future.

Looks like good news for Superliner and Amtrak modelers in HO scale thanks to Walthers.

How are the “brake lights” coming along?

I think I’ve found a soultion that should work…I just need the Superliners [;)]

Walthers has definitely upped the game with it’s new line of passenger equipment. I’ve aquired some Superliner cars, as well as a couple of Heritage models. They’re great looking, and great performers.
