Sorry Mr. Hays: The Transit Museum already has the first real World’s Fair car. Number 9306. It has been restored to it’s fair colors. So, unless it’s sent to a museum, it will become 1400 that sleeps with the fishes.
It needs to be used somewhere or donated to a non profit rail group. Come on guys !
Do they actually drop old RR cars in the ocean? Why not scrap it?
The way I understand it, they drop it into the ocean to form reefs for fish & other ocean dwellers. It appears that this reef building plan is working. This is what I hear, and only going on what was on the TV and newspapers. BUT it looks like another $500,000 of TAX money will just end up in the ocean for new fish homes!!
