Once when I was visiting NYC I remember the subway line I was using shut down due to heavy rains. Water was gushing down several areas of the underground station I was in.

Sounds like pork barrel money to fix shoddy infrastructure.

HEY NEW YORK, how’s about this?

  1. Install adequate pumps in place to keep the water out, and have backup pumps ready as well.
  2. MAKE SURE THAT your Storage Yards used in the event of another big storm ARE NOT IN A FLOOD PLAIN!

Those are just the first two, I’m sure I could sell that for a paltry $2 million if I had bribed the right politicians!
